PHILADELPHIA – University of the Sciences student-athletes posted a grade point average (GPA) of 3.26 in the 2017 Fall Semester, with more than half (83) earning Dean's List Honors and 10 posting a perfect 4.0 GPA, the athletic department announced on Thursday.
10-of-12 USciences teams posted a GPA of at least 3.0, led by women's cross country's team GPA of 3.65 and women's basketball's 3.64.
Those two were followed closely by golf's team GPA of 3.57 and women's track and field's 3.547.
Notably, softball (3.42) also had a team GPA above the Dean's List threshold of 3.40.
Rounding out the teams with GPA's above 3.0 were volleyball (3.338), men's cross country (3.34), baseball (3.22), men's basketball (3.078) and men's tennis (3.078).
The 10 student-athletes to post a perfect 4.0 GPA were Karla Miletic (women's tennis), Frank D'Alessandro (baseball), Jason Gallo (baseball), Michael Fox (men's basketball), Borna Novak (men's tennis), Alyx McKiernan (women's basketball), Laura Trisch (women's basketball), Keiya Moncilovich (softball), Brittany Rickard (softball) and Brooke Witmer (volleyball).
Notably, juniors Rickard and Witmer, sophomore Miletic and freshman Moncilovich have a cumulative 4.0 GPA as well.
A full list of student-athletes who received Dean's List Honors can be found below. In order to receive the recognition, one must have completed and passed all assigned courses with no grade below "C" and attained a semester GPA of 3.40 or above.
