Devils Place Ninth at Swarthmore Invitational
Jason Franck shot a nine-over-par 80 to lead the University of the Sciences golf team to a ninth place finish at monday's Swarthmore College Invitational at rock Manor Golf Club in Wilmington, Delaware.
The Devils finished with a score of 346, one stroke behind eighth place Philadelphia University and 30 behind Tournament Champion La Salle University (316). Sciences overall won-loss record stands at 6-10.
Franck's round of 80 was good enough to finish tied for 10th place overall amongst the 76 golfers competing. Joseph D'Uva was the Devils second best golfer in the tournament, finishing seven strokes behind Franck with a score of 87 and tied for 36th place.
Anuj Patel and Ian Byerly rounded out the Devils final two scorers. Patel shot 88 to finish tied for 43rd place while Byerly shot 91 to finish tied for 51st overall.
The Devils return to action on Saturday when the face Philadelphia University at the ACE Club in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania.
