Adefemi Earns First Team All-CACC Honors

New Haven, Conn. (3/1/11) - University of the Sciences men's basketball player Adewale Adefemi was named today to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Conference Team as a first team selection. The voting is done by the league's 13 coaches.

For Adefemi (Winslow Township High School/ Chesilhurst, N.J.) , this is his third consecutive year on the CACC All-Conference team, earning second team honors in 2009-10 and third team in 2008-09.

Adefemi, a senior forward, leads the Devils this season in scoring (16.3 points/game), rebounding (242, 10.1/game), field goal percentage (48.0%), and blocked shots (16). Adewale is also third on the team in assists (43, 1.8/gm.) and steals (33).

Adewale's 10.1 rebounds per game average currently ranks him third in the CACC and 15^th nationally amongst all division II players. Adefemi also ranks eighth in the league in scoring, second in the league in offensive rebounds (4.5/game) and fifth in defensive rebounds (5.58/game).

A fourth-year player for the Devils, Adewale started every game for the Devils in 2010-2011 averaging 35.4 minutes per game. He set a single season record for offensive rebounds with 108 so far this year and is the Devils all-time leader with 352 offensive boards in his career.  His 852 career rebounds rank him fourth on the Devils all-time list.  Adefemi has amassed 1,410 career in 102 games played for USciences, ranking 12^th all-time.

The former Winslow Township High School athlete is in his fourth and final season of play for the Devils. Adefemi is a pharmaceutical marketing/management major at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
