Men’s Basketball Announces 2018-19 Schedule

2018-19 USciences Men's Basketball Schedule

PHILADELPHIA – The University of the Sciences men's basketball team announced its 2018-19 schedule on Thursday.

The 28-game campaign will commence at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at defending NCAA Tournament participant Bridgeport as part of the UB Conference Crossover Classic, where the Devils will also play LIU Post on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m.

USciences' home opener comes three days on later on Wednesday, Nov. 14 when the Devils host Kutztown at 7 p.m.

That will be the first of four non-conference home dates, with Southern Connecticut State (Nov. 20), St. Thomas Aquinas (Dec. 1) and Cheyney (Dec. 16) also set to visit Bobby Morgan Arena.

Trips to both Indiana (Pa.) (Nov. 23) and Lincoln (Nov. 27), and a neutral date with Pitt-Johnstown as part of the IUP Thanksgiving Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 24, round out the non-conference schedule.

USciences' Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) schedule begins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4 with the Devils welcoming intercity opponent Holy Family to Bobby Morgan Arena.

The Devils will host defending CACC regular season champion and NCAA East Region finalist Bloomfield on Saturday, Jan. 5, and defending CACC Tournament champion Jefferson on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

USciences beat both of those teams in 2017-18, including knocking off Bloomfield in the CACC Quarterfinals to advance to the Semifinals for the fourth time in five years.

2017-18 marked the sixth consecutive CACC tournament appearance for University of the Sciences.

The Devils return 11-of-13 letterwinners from that squad, including starters Paddy Casey, Brendan Crawford and Beni Toure

Brandon Starr, Tanner Kerr and JJ Melchior were main contributors off the bench, while other returners include Brandon Hathaway, Danny Kelly, Franklin Okpala, Tom Gregorits, Michael Fox and Devan Rodman

USciences also bring back redshirts Cameron Hoffman and Jordan White, and the Devils brought in freshmen Jordan Davidson and Sean Simon
