ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Sahas Chandragiri won a set in his No. 4 singles match at Division I Navy, as the University of the Sciences men's tennis gained valuable experience against the Midshipmen in its spring-opener on Friday evening.
The sophomore bounced back from a tough tiebreaker loss in the first set, 6-7 (1), to take the second 6-3. He would go on to fall in the third set super tiebreak 3-10.
Aside from Chandragiri, Borna Novak, Rakesh Chamala and Chandat Phan each won games in their respective matches, taking five games, four games and two games in their respective second, fourth and third flight matches.
University of the Sciences takes more than a month off before returning to the court in Orlando, Fla. for its spring break trip, beginning with a match against Saint Anselm on Sunday, March 4.
