PHILADELPHIA – The University of the Sciences Athletics Department is excited to announce the track and field schedule for the program's inaugural 2018 season.
USciences will compete in its first-ever event on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 when it travels to Ursinus to take part in the Collegeville Classic.
That will be the first of four events in the winter and indoor season, with another trip to Ursinus for the Frank Colden Invite scheduled two weeks later on Feb. 3. The Devils will then compete in the Albright Invite before closing out the winter schedule at the Amory Last Chance Meet in New York City.
Competition in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC)-sponsored spring and outdoor season will commence on Saturday, March 24 at the Golden Ram Invite hosted by West Chester.
That will be the first of four straight Saturdays of competition, which also includes another trip to West Chester as well as trips to Widener and Stockton.
University of the Sciences will then not have to travel far to get the opportunity to compete at the renowned Penn Relays hosted at historic Franklin Field on April 26-28.
The Devils get one final tune-up for the 2018 CACC Championships when it takes part in the U-Del Open on Sunday, April 29.
USciences' first-ever taste of postseason competition comes the next weekend at the abovementioned CACC Championships, which will be hosted by Georgian Court on Sunday, May 6.
