NEW YORK, N.Y. – Half of the Devils to compete on Friday ran a new collegiate personal best, as the University of the Sciences men's track and field team concluded its winter and indoor season at the Armory Last Chance Meet on Friday.
Eric Papazian set two collegiate personal bests on the day, completing the 60m in 7.70 seconds and the 200m in 24.46 seconds.
Also setting a new collegiate personal best, and recording USciences' best individual finish, was Johnathan Epstein. The freshman crossed fourth out of 15 in the mile with a time of 4:32.96.
Ryan Ward also competed in the mile, crossing in 4:56.12.
William Hallinan was the final Devil to set a collegiate personal best, finishing the 800m in 1:59.11.
Matthew Weiner competed in two events on the day, running the 200m in 26.76 and the 500m in 1:15.36.
It was the first time that University of the Sciences has had someone compete in the 500m, and Christopher Cardace also ran and finished in 1:12.11.
Rounding out the results was USciences' first-ever distance medley relay, in which Ward, Cardace, Hallninan and Epstein combined to complete in 11:13.54.
University of the Sciences will now turn its attention to the spring and outdoor season, a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) sponsored season, which begins on Friday, March 30 at the Danny Curran Invite hosted by Widener.
