Young Men’s Cross Country Team Gets First Experience of NCAA Regionals

BETHPAGE, N.Y. – The entire University of the Sciences men's cross country team got to experience their first-ever NCAA East Regional Championship on Saturday at Bethpage Polo at the Park.

Running in their first-ever collegiate 10K as well, sophomores Johnathan Epstein and William Hallinan made their way into the USciences record book in their first attempts, as their respective times of 36:54.80 and 37:05.40 now rank 20th and 21st in program history.

Fellow sophomore Christopher Cardace was next to cross in 38:33.80.

The lone freshman to run for the Devils on the day, Dylan Zuch navigated the course in 38:39.00.

Sophomore Ryan Ward came in next at 39:42.20.

The lone upperclassman to run for University of the Sciences, competing in his final career collegiate race, Scott Jacobs crossed in 42:13.90

Rounding out the Devils' day with a time of 43:45.20 was sophomore Matthew Connolly
