The University of the Sciences women's basketball team remained at the number seven spot as they made their third consecutive appearance in this week’s Division II East Region Poll. The Devils had their 14 game winning streak snapped at the hands of the #1 team in the region Holy Family before closing out the regular season with a win at Post University to improve to 21-5 on the season.

The Devils, coached by Paul Stadelberger, opened the week losing a close contest to top ranked Holy Family University 60-51.  In that game the Devils were led by Colleen Christian’s 22 points.  CACC Player of the Year added 12 points and nine rebounds.

Sciences closed out the week with a 75-65 win over Post University, completing a season sweep of the CACC Northern Division, getting a career high 25 points from Alyssa Hamm, 22 from Shaw and 10 from Becca Ruggear.

The Devils are awaiting the announcement of the NCAA Tournament bids after their 57-54 loss in the CACC Quarterfinals to Goldey-Beacom College on Monday.  The bids will be announced via webcast on NCAA.com Sunday night beginning at 9:30 p.m. EST.  Eight teams from the region are chosen with automatic bids going to the Central Atlantic Collegaite Conference, Northeast10, and East Coast Conference tournament champions along with five at-large bids.
