PHILADELPHIA – A day after its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Quarterfinal victory, the No. 19/19 University of the Sciences women's basketball team was ranked No. 3 in the final NCAA East Region Poll that was released on Wednesday.

The NCAA Regional Rankings are the rankings that ultimately determine the seeding for the NCAA Tournament. Eight teams from each region make the NCAA Tournament, with conference tournament winners receiving automatic bids.

The East Region consists of the CACC, the Northeast 10 (NE10) and the East Coast Conference (ECC).

After the conclusion of the CACC Championship on Sunday afternoon, USciences (26-3) will turn its attention to the NCAA Selection Show, which airs at 10 p.m., to learn its destination and matchup.

No. 6/13 Stonehill topped the rankings for the third consecutive week, with fellow NE10 member No. 14/12 Bentley jumping University of the Sciences for the only change in the top-nine.

After USciences, St. Thomas Aquinas and LIU Post of the ECC were No. 4 and No. 6.

Fellow CACC members Caldwell and Jefferson came in at No. 5 and No. 7.

University of the Sciences takes on Caldwell, the No. 2 seed from the CACC North, at Jefferson this Saturday, March 3 at 12 p.m. in the CACC Semifinals.

The winner advances to Sunday's 12 p.m. CACC Championship, also at Jefferson, to face the winner of the other semifinal - Bloomfield or Jefferson.

Southern Connecticut State of the NE10 and Roberts Wesleyan of the ECC remained No. 8 and No. 9, while the NE10's Le Moyne made its debut in the rankings at No. 10.

With the addition of Le Moyne, University of the Sciences is 5-0 against teams in the rankings, having swept Jefferson while also defeating Stonehill and Caldwell.

Notably, University of the Sciences remained ranked in both national polls that were released on Tuesday. The Devils slotted in at No. 19 in both the D2SIDA Women's Basketball Week 14 National Poll and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll.
