Lions Defeat Devils
Georgian Court University handed the University of the Sciences Women's Volleyball Team their third conference loss of the season Thursday night, defeating the Devils 3-1 at the Wellness Center in Lakewood, New Jersey.
The Lions took the first two sets by identical 25-22
scores. Sciences won the third set 25-17 before the Lions
closed out the match with a 25-15 win in the fourth
set. The Devils are now 3-4 overall and 1-3 in Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference matches. The Lions
improve to 2-10 overall and 2-2 in league play.
Freshman Diana Solomon led the Devils with 10 kills while Cady
rich added four. Sarah Hickman had 17 assists
setting up the offense. Defensively, Stacey Wooden led
three Sciences players in double figures for digs with 12.
Sheryse Taylor added 11 while Coral Holly had 10. Christine Puschak had five blocks
Amy Berry led the Lions with 14 kills and 24 digs.
Talita Rocha had seven solo blocks.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, September 25, 2010
when they travel to Nyack College for a CACC crossover match in
Nyack , New York.
