Bythrow Shoots Collegiate-Best Round; Blake Leads Golf in Tri-Match with Jefferson and Cabrini

LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – Austin Bythrow shot a new a collegiate-best round, while Tyler Blake placed tied for fifth to lead the University of the Sciences golf team in a tri-match with Jefferson and Cabrini at The ACE Club on Monday afternoon. 

Bythrow's 93 beat his previous collegiate-best by one shot, while Blake was tied atop the field with 11 pars en route to an 81 to tie for fifth in the field of 17.  

Senior Andy Ring also placed in the top-half of the field, tying for eighth with an 83.  

Freshmen Andrew Rush and Timothy Wright rounded out USciences' day with respective scores of 88 and 98. 

Notably, Ring and Rush both recorded birdies. 

The Devils get one final tune-up for Oct. 7-8's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship when it competes at the Stockton Invitational held at Seaview Country Club & Resort on Wednesday Oct. 2.
