PHILADELPHIA – The University of the Sciences men's and women's basketball teams will host their annual Late Night Madness on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Bobby Morgan Arena inside of the Athletic/Recreation Center (ARC).
The event will serve as the official introduction for the new "Drake the Devil," University of the Sciences' official mascot. Fans and students will have an opportunity to take pictures with Drake, as a selfie station with an official USciences Athletics backdrop will be set up.
The event will also give fans and students the opportunity to meet the 2018-19 men's and women's basketball teams in a fun and entertaining environment, where there will be contests and prizes, free food and exciting giveaways.
Both the men's and women's basketball teams advanced to the Semifinals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament in 2018-19.
Notably, women's basketball had the most successful season in USciences Athletics history, capturing its second consecutive CACC Championship and winning two NCAA Tournament games to advance to the program's first-ever Sweet 16 and East Region Final.
Both teams open their 2018-19 campaigns on the weekend of Nov. 9-10. The women will host American International on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m., while the men kick off their season the next day, Saturday, Nov. 10, with a 5 p.m. tip at Bridgeport.
