Brennan Becomes Program’s All-Time Wins Leader as Women’s Tennis Clinches Home Playoff Match

PHILADELPHIA – University of the Sciences Head Women's Tennis Coach Jay Brennan became the all-time winningest coach in program history on Saturday, as the Devils defeated Caldwell 8-1 to close out its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) season with its third straight win to clinch the four seed and a home match in the upcoming CACC Tournament.

The Devils will host Jefferson at the McNeil Tennis Courts on Tuesday, with the winner advancing the CACC Semifinals hosted at Post on Friday, Oct. 20.

In his sixth season at the helm of the program, Brennan won his 42nd match to surpass the previous leader Bob Flitter (1991-2003).

Closing out its CACC schedule at 5-3, USciences has now won a program record five conferences matches for the second season in a row.

The Devils were a three set loss away from completing the 9-0 sweep.

Karla Miletic, Elkanah Linder and Julia James all won two matches on the afternoon.

Miletic completed her second consecutive undefeated CACC season at 7-0. She and her partner Abbygail Gamarnik also won their fourth straight match together to tie for the team lead with 10 wins.

Linder and Danielle Paran also won their 10th match together with their seventh consecutive victory.
